New Operational Hours: Setting up our Organization for Success

Dear valued customers and business partners,

On April 8th, 2024, Really Right Stuff team members embarked on a new chapter of our lives. Up until this point, we had been working a standard 5-day a week, 8-hour a day schedule. Now the organization has shifted almost entirely over to a 4-day a week, 10-hour a day schedule. We wanted to take the time to explain the reason behind the change and what benefits it has both to us as an organization and you as our customer.

If you haven't heard the news, here are our new operational service hours:

Phones: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (MST), Monday thru Thursday
Storefront: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (MST), Monday thru Thursday
Shipping: Monday thru Thursday, Same-day order processing cutoff at 2:00 pm (MST)
Receiving: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (MST), Monday thru Friday

Here are 5 main reasons we elected to make this schedule change:

  1. We want to give our team members a longer weekend. We have very hard working team members that love to spend the weekends with family and doing outdoor activities. A 3-day weekend gives them more time to enjoy and decompress. We can also spend more time out in nature using our own RRS products and solving real-world problems.
  2. A 4-day work-week cuts down on commute time and inefficiencies. It's one less day our team members need to spend fighting traffic while commuting into work, which means more time for other more important things in their life. The longer work day also allows for more concentrated efforts on projects with long spin-up times. Once you're in that flow state, you can stay in that flow state longer. 
  3. It increases retention and work-life balance, as many studies show. We love our team members and want them to stick around. We want to stand out as the employer of choice and this is another step toward differentiating ourselves from other work options in the area.
  4. Extended Monday-Thursday hours are more critical than Friday hours. Friday's are our least-utilized day for customer-facing operations and we have had repeated challenges with customers outside of our time zone. Offering extended customer service hours gives greater chance of having direct contact with customers outside of the Mountain Standard Time zone.
  5. Our products are available in more places than ever. We have wonderful retail partners throughout the world that enable our customers to shop when and where they want. We will continue to empower our partners to deliver value to our customers so that we are not the only place to go to get the solutions and information they need.
